Backstory
Appoline grew up used to a fast paced lifestyle since she was little; the doted only child between her parents, a longtime inhabitant of the ebbing french coastal town, Nice. She always enjoyed it, running around, keeping busy, always engaged in something new. Her parents were incredibly active people that hated being understimulated, even resting, a trait that's naturally passed onto their ambitious and creative daughter. That's what she was recognized for growing up, a girl who would take on too many things at once, not quite overwhelmed by it, just a fan of dipping her toes in everything at least once is all.
To her, knowledge is more fun than it is power, never intending to be the best, just to enjoy in the moment. Her tastes span decades, genres, cultures, uncaring if it's through music, style, and other hobbies. As a student she lamented limits, that she ultimately couldn't take every language class for example, a strange but amusing classmate to have. Even college was an indecisive time for her, someone with too many interests at once, but she figured majors can change, degrees can even be collected throughout her adulthood if anything. Even so, one of her greater interests was the Hapkido she invested a lot of her childhood into.
One could compare her to a jellyfish that seamlessly floats through life, someone who goes along with the tides without a complaint. She's found herself as a hapkido instructor in New York City currently, her days not entirely repetitive if she's still diving into new things like international dishes, the arts, the culture of where she lives. A year from now, she can't imagine what knowledge she'll retain, even learn, but she looks forward to continuing her nomadic lifestyle.
