Backstory
The first Pandora in charge of the original box was one of Anesidora's ancestors, a woman who's curiousity cost many human lives when the Miseries within were unsealed in the mortal world. Anesidora grew up herself warned not to tamper with dangerous things, assigned in the Divine with Ignacy, who's station still had one Misery inside. Soon enough, the Misery inside was unsealed by a fellow God, the start of another long chase before they wreck havoc on the world. In Anesidora's earlier life, her lineage already decided what kind of life she would live. It was known she would be able to see the supernatural, that her job was to fulfill a role that her ancestor failed. She didn't really think too much about it and settled with it, always thinking it's fine to stick with something you're already decent at. She didn't know what a regular human's life was like to make any comparisons anyway. Still, she grew up alongside Eden who she considers a big sister, someone to rely on if she makes a mistake in the end. Since the original Pandora's box in her home had nothing inside anymore, she decided to join Ignacy as additional support as his temple had a sealed Misery in custody.
Knowing Ignacy since they were smaller, having trained together as far as sealing abilities, the two were like siblings as is. Living together was a pleasant experience for the two, sharing meals and stories together, but the underlying unease they'd feel from the box they watched was always there. From that box where the Misery of death was, Merikh, the two kids could sense a deep hatred, a terrible person was inside afterall. When Merikh's comrade Pagule dropped by to unseal them, the two Pandoras knew it was their responsibility to seal both of them before bad things happen. If you have no Misery to watch over, you can buffer another Pandora's station, or you could embark to track them down. The Pandora's could trace bad energies from humans afflicted by the Miseries, using that as a guide to see where they were, and if close their evil auras can be felt even a couple miles away. Anesidora was prepared for that, but since she was still pretty young, she decided it would be best to have Eden and Ignacy with her. With Eden around, they wouldn't be afflicted by the Misery's abilities.
Anesidora felt some people were brave because they had experience and knew the steps ahead of a task, but she barely had experience in the worst outcome of her job. When Eden enlisted help from Gingko, a human with absolutely no experience, Anesidora wasn't sure if it was a good idea. But given the human's resolve to see her wife more than anything, Anesidora saw that as her courage. She had no goals of her own after sealing the Miseries again, but if it made others lives easier, that's all she figured she needed to work for. As their group recovers a couple of Miseries over time, Anesidora starts to see the chemistry between both groups, as if they all share Merikh and Pagule as common enemies. Technically they don't need to be sealed again in the future, it's as if that goes against all she was raised for, but Anesidora simply watches how things play out. With her tracking abilities, she looks for the next Misery to keep out of the evil duo's hands.
