Backstory
Ignacy was born into a generational family of Pandoras, trained since birth to hone his skills in sealing deities. Always having lived in the Divine World, a world that at one point mirrored the modern world, it was held back in tradition due to the plethora of Gods and spirits that reside among-spirited away-humans. Being here meant that someone long ago was taken to this world from Ignacy's family, but they've adapted regardless. Ignacy wasn't the best at adapting anyway, daily contact with eerie ghosts and the looming fear of the Miseries always providing some unease. He knows the modern world has some spirits, but the humans there aren't adapted to seeing them-- what a blissful life he thought.
Despite being an only child he still grew up with the other Pandoras who shared the same shoes as him, ones like Anesidora, Saros, Sonnet, and Nacrea. There were far more in number, older ones who were statioend in the modern world, but Ignacy's circle was for the younger Pandoras already having a Misery to watch over. Expectations were set to buffer the others if your Misery escaped, or hunt it yourself, but that's a job more suited to someone with the experience. It's what Ignacy feared the most, to face off against one of those catastrophic Gods. When his assigned God did escape, he and Anesidora decided to join Gingko's group after all, at least to track down the Gods rather than fight them. The Pandoras didn't have a finishing move for fights, they simply had a net to seal the Gods in if faced.
Now, Ignacy continues to travel alongside a group, sometimes changing partners when there is a lead, having met some of the aforementioned Miseries along the way. They're frankly intimidating, but maybe Ignacy overestimated how scary they'd be if it varies. At least, most of the ones Gingko runs into have some level headedness, some "humanity" it seems. It doesn't matter what someone's role is in the end, as the Gods exist without overdoing their chaos, as Gingko doesn't let her mortality stop her when facing danger, etc. If Ignacy doesn't think too hard about what's currently going on, the upcoming days should be more exciting to look forward to. If everyone else is confident that Merikh and Pagule can be defeated, the journey in betweeen will breeze by, and calm days will prevail once more.
