Backstory
Starting out in the original Pandora’s box, Navy recalls the company of the other Miseries. Being ill willed by nature, with the exception of Eden who did not appear in the box for years, it was a rowdy and rambunctious place to share. Navy herself added to the constant commotion, social and always looking to entertain herself. Among all those with her, Zerrin was the absolute closest friend to her.
By the time they all escaped with the originally assigned Pandora opening the box, Navy would wander but always found her way back to Zerrin. Causing trouble together, taking power from humans, making lots of enemies together, they were having a wonderful time without a doubt. Anytime one of them had gotten captured and imprisoned, they would wait for the other to free them and make wild getaways, but could usually escape the capture by a human on their own. Navy was used to it, mutually depending on Zerrin to have her back and stick around. Unfortunately, Zerrin was eventually caught by a strong human who sealed him away In a well hidden treasure chest. Navy continued to be independent as she was used to doing every few years that they stayed in hotspots of stressed humans, but she wondered how Zerrin was doing(he was very bored). With no leads to his whereabouts she figured she could get information out of humans.
Meddling with humans in a town she stumbled upon, she met a woman who said she had information on someone like Zerrin. Leaving behind her husband, she stuck by Navy’s side and traveled around to search for Zerrin. Somewhere along the way, Navy forgot her journey to Zerrin, fascinated by the woman who revealed she lied about knowing anything. She was shameless for sure, and Navy enjoyed people like her more than the shameful individuals she could profit from. Experience was more exciting than power to Navy. So she let it slide, learning more about humans and the lives women led in their times; supposedly limited but they always had underhanded ways to live as they pleased. Women who would secretly study, do business, women who could lie or kill their way out of a bad life. Navy met many women like that through her friend’s connections, opting to be their monolith and fists when needed. Taking a step back, Navy noted the vast amount of women at her side, many idolizing or falling for her, and that excitement was satisfying enough to live with— a life of no restraints and no shame.
Of course, that growing number of women was accompanied by a growing number of angry ex spouses and suitors who saw Navy as an inhumane threat. In this time period, many were especially convinced that she was a vampire. Plotted against, she was eventually face to face with a strong human who sealed her in a coffin. Even then, the simple coffin had chains outside of it, physical seals of all kinds that kept her from opening it from the inside. It was similar to that of the original Pandora’s box cause the seal was set by one of the Pandoras. She figured she would wait it out for Zerrin, yet Zerrin never came back, he had run into the same situation, leaving the two waiting for one of them to free the other. No matter how much she tried to find an exit in the confines she found herself in, a realm designated to contain her, she spent years and years by herself. While a part of her considered Zerrin in the same situation, she held onto the same feeling before of disappointment in him for not coming back to her.
By the time Gingko’s group tracked down the coffin with Anesidora’s help, she still couldn’t revel in excitement without having Zerrin around along with an explanation. Even so, meeting Gingko let Navy easily fall for her after seeing her traits coincide with that of the women she knew. While Gingko was already married, Navy still stuck around her group as a mentor and ally against Merikh and Pagule’s group. Once they faced off against recruited members of that faction, Navy met Zerrin, who had been unsealed by the malignant duo. With Gingko’s group afraid of what kind of villain Zerrin would be at the enemy’s discretion, he was pretty quick in switching sides just because Navy would want him to join her than the latter. With the two forgiving the other for their misunderstandings, they become a formidable pair once again.
