Linell is a Russian/Vietnamese employee at a bookshop under Venn. Both share the duty of organizing the books and distributing them, but Linell specifically goes to retrieve them when they are overdue. It’s unknown how he always gets the books back, but Venn has a hunch that Linell doesn’t do so peacefully, but their books are rather valuable with some original editions.

Linell's confidence level is very high, because he has a good grasp of what he's good and bad at, so he'll only stick to what he can do. He has no trouble speaking up for others and confronting angels. In a way his outspoken manners can be seen as admirable and charming. He's a vengeful person who gets things done out of spite sometimes. If someone doesn't return the shop's books, he hunts them down to get it back, but he can be pretty blunt and crude over the books' safety than a person's. He gets meaner if theres damages to original copies. This sometimes deters people from visitng the shop since he's chaotic neutral. His stubborn personality is difficult to sway or persuade, as he often persuades others and knows all the tricks. It's tough to change his viewpoints about others or to forgive others, even after they've changed. He's certainly the opposite of Venn in terms of being petty.

Doted on as an only child in Hai Phong, Vietnam, Linell had been a child that seldom strayed from his parents, partly because he was a demon. If his family stood out any more, it was due to his father being Russian amongst his mother’s Vietnamese family, Linell taking after her looks more. In addition, he inherited Gazelle-like demon horns from his mother, often wishing he could’ve had the small, practically hidden horns his father had; It was those horns that helped his family move to Russia safely. Linell remembers watching his father convince humans and angels his family was that of humans during travel, how smoothly they blended into the demon sanctuary town of Belodar, after all it was his father’s birth town. His upbringing in Vietnam was fine, easygoing, and he always had his family's support in his decisions. He can’t recall learning Russian, how many days had seemed to blend into the same repetitive routine; everything really did go smoothly. Within the blink of an eye, he was working at a bookshop, living there to keep an eye on everything for his late uncle, moving out of his parent’s home in the town.

“Venn, move in with me. You love my uncle’s books more than I do.” He would often suggest to his demon coworker, a friend he grew up with. With their shared work in the bookshop most days, it’s almost as if they grew up in that shop/home together. However, Venn had a habit to unconsciously do things against others’ intentions, including Linell’s. Even though over the years he had warmed up to the idea, to move in with Linell and be surrounded by all the books he adored, recently he had been on high alert for his family’s sake.

With a serial killer running around targeting children, Venn’s little sister had to be watched over with greater care. The killer, Baba Yaga, didn’t just target humans, this was a malevolent being intending to kill whether it be a human or demon or angel. With that in mind, Linell has opted in to keep an eye out for Bambina and Venn, as if occasionally visiting Angels weren’t a nuisance. Maybe once the culprit is caught, Linell can ask Venn once again. Maybe.
