Backstory
Delmas grew up as an only child, but as more of a middle child amongst his plethora of cousins. He recalls being closest to Galene, his little cousin with a few months of an age difference, something like a little sister to him after she moved in with his family early on. His parents weren't that keen on the idea of kids to be honest, raising just one so self sufficient that they could still travel abroad for work without a kid that missed them too much. Being away so often could be why they didn't mind the idea of Galene moving in, certain there was someone at home to keep order, yet not exactly how a child should be raised in the first place. At least having Galene around, a more chipper child, provided a sense of normalcy in his childhood.
As the two grew up together, always getting along, Delmas was still considered an introverted and mature kid even in school. If Galene had her own troubles as a student, he at least wanted to keep on top of things so she could rely on him when needed, even though he preferred to teach her things at the minimum. When he is at home most of the time, he'll keep busy by doing things like baking and reading, all kinds of slow paced hobbies. Although they're living within the outskirts of a city, the way Delmas handles the home and lives there makes it seem so warm, like a cottage in a way.
He isn't and never has been a fan of cities, not quite a fan of suburbs either. In the future he may just move towards a rural part of the country, certain that Galene has more ties to friends in the area right now. He's not worried if they can visit each other throughout their adulthood. Even phones still keep them connected if anything.
