Backstory
In the original Pandora's box, Blithe grew up alongside the other Miseries, a handful of evil Gods that reveled in what scared humans. Blithe was the Misery of Uncertainty, just before a humans feels despair, ranging from the fear of whats to come or hindering what's happening. Unsealed by the original Pandora, running rampant, Blithe was able to grow his power tremendously where the uncertainty of war was present.
At first, he stayed close to combatants and watched them rush into a battlefield. Despite hoards looking courageous, they were flightless birds uncertain if they would survive as a group or individually. To Blithe, humans had better things to worry about than war if both sides ultimately hated the idea. Seeing humans pass at the orders of their leaders, needlessly, Blithe wasn't sitting well with the sights of agony that once normal humans were facing. If anything, their deaths did strenghen him, but he was certain he could get his power from other methods than one so damaging. When a battle took too long, when the leaders sat by idly without any compassion, Blithe felt compelled to join in. He knew nothing of any individual humans, but somehow he figured the battles were wrong. Watching others use a plethora of weapons over genertations; swords, cannons, rifles, Blithe mimicked their usage and pointed the same weapons towards the "peace-seeking" leaders. Of course, those who'd see their actions coined them a demon for years, "Death" itself on the battlefield. Earning a reputation that humans prepared for, he was one day caught by a group of humans skilled in the supernatural, humans named Pandoras who could seal him away in a thurible.
Expecting to spend eternity sealed away, not close enough with his comrades to expect them to save him, Blithe settled on resting away. He was certain of that, and yet, the current Pandora in charge of watching him unsealed him. Nacrea was a person who he couldn't easily read, unconditionally kind yet firm with him, someone that made him feel uncertainty about the peaceful days to come.
He felt he'd committed the same crime as some humans in taking lives before, acts that couldn't be undone, but Nacrea assured he'd fought the worst kind of person and that alone could give peace to many more. In the life he started with Nacrea like a dear friend, Blithe learned about the calm lives many humans kept, the peace that was supposedly what was being preserved through war when it was threatened. If a great threat did come by, such as his fellow Gods causing trouble where he was, Blithe accepted that he'd fight for the peace to continue even if that means becoming sealed again in the future.
In the end, a threat did arise exactly how Blithe imagined it; two Miseries named Merikh and Pagule, respectively handling human death and plague, were working together for the downfall of humanity itself. Blithe had grown used to seeing destruction and the aftermath where innocents struggled to rebuild everything, and he wouldn't want that to happen now that he's grown attached to certain humans like Nacrea. Yet, it was that duo that managed to snatch him away in the thurible he resided in when Nacrea's guard was down. Enlisted in the villain's group, he still put up a fight. Shocked to hear what Merikh and Pagule had in mind, to collect the other miseries and lead an army of evil Gods to make humans suffer enough to lose faith in their gods, Blithe knew he wouldn't easily go along with it. As long as he was under their supervision he couldn't flee, but was at least able to share the same sentiments as Fericho who was somewhere she didn't want to be. The others seemed to go along with the duo because they had no where else to be, sealed previously and wanting to avoid that fate, to take frustrations out on humans. Yet Blithe had a place of belonging, he was certain of that, certain he'd change sides as soon as the opportunity arose.
